About this Blog

All I have to say is that this is going to be, without any uncertainty, the most interesting and opinionated blog you will ever read about the Middle East and what truly occurs within. What you may see on the media is nothing but a mere glimpse of the actual activities that occur amid the imaginary walls of the "Sharq Al-Awsat" (Middle East). I myself, having just returned from a beloved summer abroad in the cultural capital of the Middle East (Cairo), have to say that the entire place as a whole is changing for the better. A main cause of this is due to the simultaneous uprisings that have been occurring throughout MENA. These uprisings mark the beginning of a new and bright future. My friends and family back home asked me numerous times what do the Americans think of what's been going on (especially since Egypt has been among the only two countries that have succeeded in their revolt)? I respond to them with the same exact answer. And that answer is, "this revolution has truly put Egypt on the map. And I say Egypt because I believe that it's the country that represents the Middle East the most. A larger amount of respect has been given to the citizens of this country and it has also been receiving the acknowledgment from the more important people of the world." I soon hope to say this when referring to Middle East as a whole, because as much as I care about my personal country, I also care about the Muslim center of the world.

An outline of what I may be posting about this year include:
-Time spent in Egypt
-Known facts about Egypt
-MENA uprisings+reasons of revolt
-Known facts about other Middle Eastern countries with special focus upon the Gulf countries (Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia)
-Anything that may come up on me later this year

The topics I plan to discuss that are listed above is just an overview and nothing about it is precise. I may eliminate certain details later on, and I may add some, depending on the situation.
